The Blueprint for a Changed Life!

The Blueprint for a Changed Life! - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Dr. Creflo Dollar

Do you believe you will have what you say? If so, what words are you allowing to come out of your mouth? For instance, how do you talk when you are in non–religious settings, around people who are not Christians? Do you evaluate your words, or do you just “shoot the breeze,” so you will not appear too “deep” to others?

I want you to take stock of your words, because whether you realize it or not, your life is the sum total of all the words you have spoken. Your words set the very tone for your life. In fact, so powerful are your words, that you can literally talk your way into victory or defeat.

Some of you may say, “It is not that serious. I have spoken a lot of things that have never come to pass.” But as I like to say, if you have been spared negative or tragic situations, it is because of the grace and mercy of God, and the power of intercession! Somewhere, God has somebody praying for you!

The reason your words carry so much weight is because you are created in the image and likeness of God Himself. Your words have creative power, just like God’s words. When you speak forth words you actually release a spiritual force like dynamite! That is how serious this thing is! If you have spoken negative words in the past, you can change the course of your life right now by speaking positive words.

Psalm 45:1 states “… my tongue is the pen of a skilful writer” (New International Version). This means when you speak words, you are writing them on your heart; and whatever is conceived in your heart will eventually come out of your mouth and manifest in your life.

Why am I hammering this point home so hard? Because the only way to change your life is to change the way you think and speak. Your mouth should be used as an instrument for life, not death. For blessing, not cursing.

To begin this process, take inventory of your words. How do you speak every day? Listen to yourself. If you constantly use perverse or negative words, repent. Make a course–correction by allowing faith in God’s Word to impact your speech. How do you develop faith in His Word? By confessing it, every single day. Also, make the decision to root out any sin that may be present in your life. Remember, you can say all the right things, but secret sin in your life will separate you from God. Be quick to forgive and quick to repent.

One of the reasons Jesus was so powerful when He walked the Earth, was because He only spoke faith–filled words. As a result, He experienced immediate manifestation when He spoke. This is why powerful, positive words are the blueprint for a changed life! Take heed to these practical truths and before long, you will be enjoying life and seeing good days!

The Kingdom of God System: A Higher Way of Living

The Kingdom of God System: A Higher Way of Living - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesDid you know you can live a stress-free life in the midst of economic hardship, financial crises, and shortage? As amazing as it may sound, you can thrive and prosper in the midst of hard times. It just depends on the system in which you are operating. Those who belong to God have a higher way of life available to them because of their covenant with God. When you know your rights and the promises of God outlined in His Word, you will have absolutely no fear in the midst of chaos.

Make no mistake about it, the world’s system is failing. What is the world’s system? It is Satan’s way of doing things. Based on selfishness and fear, the world’s system is the opposite of God’s Kingdom. For example, when you need money, the world system tells you to go borrow or use credit to meet your needs. Its goal is to get you in financial bondage, not freedom. On the other hand, the Kingdom of God system is based on seedtime and harvest. When you have a financial need, you sow a seed and reap a harvest. God’s way of providing for His people has no strings attached.

Another example of the difference between these two systems is in the area of healing. The world’s way says when something is wrong physically to flood your body with medicine. While there is nothing wrong with getting the necessary treatment from a doctor when you need it, God’s way of doing things brings lasting healing. His wisdom, healing scriptures, and specific instructions to you regarding your health are better medicine than any doctor can provide.

God’s Kingdom is your safety net in the midst of turbulence. He has a promise for every situation you may face in this world. Job 5:22 says, “At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the Earth.” What a promise! That means when lack and shortage seem to loom all around you, you will be the one having the last laugh! Psalm 91 is also full of promises that guarantee protection from danger and destruction on every level.

The key to operating in God’s system is seedtime and harvest. You do not have to worry where your next meal is coming from or how your bills are going to be paid when you know your God. Your job, in God’s system, is to seek His way of doing things, which means sowing seed. When you focus your efforts on being a seed-sower, everything else will be added to you. There is nothing too hard for God, and as long as you have seed in the ground and are living your life in obedience to His Word, you have a harvest of abundance coming your way! When the world is freaking out, wondering what will happen next, you will be safely positioned in the secret place of the Most High God!

Developing a Kingdom mindset is going to take getting in the Word and renewing your mind. All our lives we have been trained to operate according to the world’s system; we must unlearn those old ways and habits and receive a new “download.” God’s thoughts are higher than the world’s and so are His plans for your life. You have a right to total life prosperity, in good times and bad. All you have to do is receive it by faith and learn to operate in God’s Kingdom.

Creflo Dollar: You’re Such a Know-It-All!

You're Such a Know-It-All! - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

Making major life decisions is sometimes a difficult task. Questions like, Which job should I take? Is this the person I should marry? Should I buy this house? or Should I join this ministry? often trouble people who are searching for direction in life. Fortunately, God wants you to know the answers to all of these questions and any others you may have. In other words, God wants you to know it all!

Before Jesus died on the cross, He promised His disciples that He would send them a Helper. The Holy Spirit was the Teacher and Friend who came to lead them and guide them into all truth (John 16:13). The good news is that the Holy Spirit is still here for Believers today!

The mark of a true Believer is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. You must have real fellowship with Him in order to have your prayers answered. You may not know which way to go in your situation, but the Holy Spirit knows. And because of your relationship with Him, He is willing to share what He knows with you. In fact, 1 John 2:20 says, “…ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and ye know all things.”

To develop an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit and receive His guidance and direction, you must meet a few key requirements:

  1. You must be born again. Before the Holy Spirit can lead you, you must invite Jesus Christ into your heart and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. When you do this, God recognizes you as one of His children, and He speaks to you and blesses you.
  2. You must develop a spirit of meekness. Meekness is the strength to exercise humility and self-control even while you’re suffering an injustice. When you walk in meekness, God will show you what to do in every situation.
  3. You must have faith. Faith is having confidence in God and His Word. In order to be led by the Holy Spirit, you must first believe wholeheartedly that His words have power, and that acting on His words will change your circumstances.
  4. You must fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Don’t be afraid to talk to the Holy Spirit. Ask Him questions and seek His help. He is a Friend who wants to reveal information that will make you successful.
  5. You must learn to be quiet. Many people have so much drama, stress and worry in their own spirits that it becomes difficult for them to hear the Holy Spirit. But the Bible encourages you to cast all of your cares on Jesus (1 Peter 5:7). When challenges arise, you must learn to say, “You know what? I cast that care away. There’s nothing I can do about it, so I’ll give it over to Jesus and let Him handle it.” By giving your worries and concerns to Jesus, you quiet your spirit. And when your spirit is quiet, you’re better able to hear God when He speaks to you.
  6. You must walk in love. If you want direction from God, you must learn to walk in love. Walking in love means living without malice and anger. When you walk in love and keep God’s commandments, you demonstrate that you love Him. And He wants nothing more than to talk to those who love Him.

Together, these principles will put you in position to receive direction from the Holy Spirit, Who wants to make a difference in your life. Acknowledge His presence and His power, and you’ll discover that, through Him, you know everything you need to know to make good decisions and live the way God wants you to live!

Creflo Dollar: Becoming Blessing Minded

Becoming Blessing Minded - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesThere are so many awesome benefits that come with accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior, from healing to financial increase. However, the one that heads up the list and is actually the source of every promise you could ever receive from God is the blessing. Many times, when we talk about the blessing, we focus on the tangible material items that make our lives comfortable, such as houses and cars. But the blessing is much more than that. It is actually an empowerment to prosper and have success in every area of our lives. When the blessing is in operation, nothing can stop you or hold you back from obtaining everything God has promised you. Ephesians 1:3 says that if we are a part of the Kingdom of God, through our acceptance of Jesus Christ, we have already been blessed with every spiritual blessing available. That means we have wisdom and power that enables us to do and accomplish anything. Spiritual blessings also include things like healing, increase, and spiritual gifts that God can impart in our lives to be a blessing to others.

When we are blessed, we are empowered to excel. If we go back to the book of Genesis and look at the account of the creation story, we discover that, when God created mankind, He equipped Adam and Eve with this very blessing. Genesis 1:27, 28 says, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” God endowed the first man and woman with the ability to absolutely dominate the earth realm. That power was the blessing! Unfortunately, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden and ate of the forbidden fruit, they lost their spiritual connection to the Father and, consequently, the blessing. But the good news is that, through Jesus, the power of the blessing has been restored! Galatians 3:13, 14 says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” The “promise” mentioned here in this scripture is the blessing! It is the empowerment God originally bestowed on Adam and Eve, and then a man called Abraham. Jesus came through the lineage of Abraham, and through His substitutionary sacrifice on the cross, each of us now has access to the blessing when we receive Him by faith.

When the blessing is on your life, you have success no matter where you are. Joseph was a prime example of this. When he was thrown in prison for being falsely accused of raping his master’s wife, God showed him favor with the prison staff! In time, he became the overseer of the entire facility (Genesis 39:1-23). So how do we activate the blessing in our lives? By speaking the Word of God! God’s Word is blessed, and when we begin to understand the power of our words and align them with what the Bible says, we turn on the power of the blessing. It will begin working for us, in us, and around us when we use our mouths to declare the Word with boldness, and in faith. The more we speak the Word, the more our minds will be renewed to the reality that we are blessed. Developing a blessing consciousness involves paying more attention to the empowerment God has equipped us with than we do the circumstances and situations going on around us. When you know you have been blessed, your confidence in the blessing will propel you to victory, all the time!

Creflo Dollar Trust God, Not Money

Trust God, Not Money - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesCreflo Dollar

Of all the life lessons we can learn from the Bible, some people find that the most uncomfortable ones relate to money. The world worships money to such a degree that it is elevated to the status of an idol, and entire industries have been built around it. Money is nothing more than pieces of paper and metals, yet many people base their entire lives around it. Regardless of the currency or denomination, when we trust it more than God, it can fail us.

The devil has tricked many people into thinking that they can get rich through their own efforts, and the “get your hands off my money” mindset is prevalent. The Scriptures teach us that money is simply a tool to help others, and hoarding it is against God’s will. “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”(Matthew 6:19-21). Looking at the business dealings of some of the large corporations, big businesses and mega banks today, it seems like this lesson has been largely forgotten.

The treasures the Bible speaks of are the blessings that money can’t buy, such as peace, joy, salvation, victory over sin, eternal life, abundance, and prosperity. When most people think of the word “prosperity,” they think of it in the narrow financial sense. God’s kind of prosperity not only includes financial blessings, but also success in every other area of life. He brings a supernatural peace that settles over our homes, our marriages, our children, and our relationships with others. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”(Philippians 4:7, NKJV).

Money is mentioned numerous times in the Bible because God knows that we’re so attached to it, the devil will use it as a tool to try and trip us up in our Christian walk. When we trust God enough to obey His Word, we find that something happens in our hearts and we experience a change in our attitude about money. Jesus told the story of the rich young ruler who trusted money more than God. (Mark 10:17-22). His earthly wealth blinded him to the eternal riches in heaven.

Creflo Dollar: Led by the Spirit

Led by the Spirit - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Remember as a child when you made a bad decision that later led to a guilty conscience? We’ve all been there and have had our own experiences—it’s part of growing up. As children, most of us were instilled with values that taught us to do our best and be honest and respectful. The world calls that internal moral compass our conscience, but when we study the Bible, we learn that it’s really the Holy Spirit at work.

When we ignore that little voice inside of us, we usually make a mistake or do something we later regret. The conscience that speaks to us loud and clear about what’s right and wrong is actually the voice of God! The Scriptures tell us what role He should play in our decision-making process. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26, NKJV).

Growing up, our parents did their best to teach us godly values, warning us not to follow the crowd or do something just because everyone else was doing it. Maybe it was the party that all the popular kids, along with some unsavory characters, were attending, or the temptation to experiment with something we knew we shouldn’t.

Some of us may have snuck out and done it anyway, and were racked with guilt later. That was the Holy Spirit in us, pointing out our mistake, just like parents do with their children. “And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: ‘My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.’ If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?” (Hebrews 12:5-7, NKJV). This is the type of correction that leads kids to “’fess up” to their parents and admit what they did.

Confidence: The Missing Substance of Faith

Confidence: The Missing Substance of Faith - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

When it comes to living the faith life, the issue of confidence cannot be ignored. Many times, people try to walk by faith, but they just don’t have the confidence to back up what they say they believe. Confidence is the missing substance of faith, meaning that without it, faith won’t be able to operate properly. In addition, patience must be employed while waiting for the manifestation of God’s promises. With both of these forces working together, faith will always get results.

Faith is the law of God’s kingdom, so as Christians we cannot get anything to work if we don’t have faith. But confidence is like the match that ignites the faith fuse. It is something that is developed as we spend more time with God, just like we develop confidence in certain people because we spend so much time with them that we know their character. By constantly fellowshipping with the Lord, meditating on His Word, and putting ourselves in remembrance of what He has already done, we develop ultimate trust and confidence in Him. The more confident we become, the more our faith will be activated.

According to Webster’s Dictionary, confidence is defined as, “reliance or trust; a trusting relationship; a feeling of self-assurance.” When we have confidence in God, we firmly rely on Him and trust that His Word will indeed come to pass. Confidence leaves no room for doubt.

Hebrews 10:35 says, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.” In other words, we must not allow our confidence to dwindle, because there is a great reward attached to remaining steadfast in our trust in God. Faith is a practical expression of our confidence in God. When we are confident that what God has said will come to pass, we will be bolder when it comes to stepping out on faith. When God tells us to do something, we won’t hesitate.

In addition to confidence, we must employ patience as part of the process to receiving the end of our faith. Biblical patience does not mean “putting up with” something. Patience is the act of maintaining confidence in God’s Word during trials and affliction. When patience completes the job, we have the result we desire, and we end up being complete, wanting nothing (James 1:4).

Everyone has experienced times when their circumstances seemed to worsen and it was as if the hard times dragged on and on with no end in sight. It is during times like these that the temptation to quit and give up on God is most prominent. However, we should never allow pressure to cause us to give up, or doubt God’s Word. If we are willing to stand forever, we won’t be standing very long.

Being a faithful churchgoer is not enough to see the promises of the Bible come alive in your life, and neither is simply reciting the Scriptures all the time. We must not only repeat what the Word says, but we must believe that what it says is coming to pass in our lives as we speak it. Belief in God’s Word demonstrates our confidence, and it is confidence that ignites our faith. Hebrews 3:6 also tells us to hold on to our confidence as members of the household of faith.

We will have plenty of opportunities to exercise our confidence in God’s Word, particularly during these times in which we live. There may be financial challenges, issues with our health, employment issues, or things going on in our relationships. Whatever the situation may be, the key is to find the solution in the Bible and to begin releasing our faith in what God has said, knowing that if we have confidence in Him, everything we believe will surely come to pass. He will never fail us, and He honors the confidence of the Christian who trusts in Him completely.

Think Right; Speak Right - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

Author: Creflo Dollar

Have you noticed people seem to get irritated when you speak positive words about your life? I have. People look at me funny at times; but I choose not to focus on that. I’m working on something!

When others get aggravated by your faith talk, chances are they don’t think the same, or wouldn’t dare speak that way. I always say, no Word, no faith. As a matter of fact, negative thinking and speaking seems to be the norm according to the world. To nonbelievers, thinking and speaking faith seems abnormal.

Across the spectrum people have different ways of thinking. Some people may hear you say, I’m so blessed and God always gives me victory!, and not understand why you’re speaking faith—filled words. Honestly, I can understand why someone might have a hard time comprehending how a person can literally change their lives with their words. However, if you continue speaking faith—filled words, they’ll understand, especially once they see the results in your life.

Change starts with your thinking and speaking. These are fundamental steps that will ultimately change your life. For example, if you’re going through a financial challenge, find a scripture to meditate on and speak it to build your faith. You can say, Lord I thank you that you always cause me to triumph in Christ. I thank you Father that I already have the victory in this situation. Wealth and riches are continually in my house!

When I was a therapist working in a clinic helping people, I also used to think negatively. I became so depressed that one day I found myself sitting in my garage trying to figure out how to commit suicide and still go to Heaven! That’s when I realized I had to change my negative mindset. I started reading and studying the Word, and over a period of time, my mind was made new. Since then, I’ve come a long way as a result of right thinking!

Oral Roberts said he uses his faith like a carpenter uses his tools, and I thought, how do you do that? This is how! You take a scripture from the Bible, for instance 3 John 1:2, and think about it over and over. Say it out loud: I will prosper as my soul prospers. Think about the meaning and significance of it. This type of meditation produces the right kind of thinking. Use the scripture in your everyday speech, then you’ll notice your faith building. It releases your faith into the spiritual realm. When unwavering faith enters the spiritual atmosphere, God is pleased and Heaven stands at attention. The angels are ready to carry out the orders you’ve spoken according to God’s Word. Before you know it, the scripture you’re saying will be evident in your life.

It doesn’t matter what people think or say about you. You’re working on something! And one day, they may begin to follow your example, because they’ll begin to notice that you always have what you say!

Creflo Dollar: Invest in Your Imagination

Invest in Your Imagination - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

All human progress was born out of the imagination. Progress came because of someone’s ability to see things differently from the way they were. The only way humans can see the past or the future—unaided—is through their imagination. Without imagination, man would be completely limited.

I’m sharing this information about the imagination because I want you to understand how meditating on God’s promises and using your imagination can lead to great success in life. When you meditate on the Word—which is spiritual—that Word is digested in your spirit. And when you imagine a thing, something is taking place in your heart. Your mind and your heart are working in concert to create images. They’re connected by the bridge called the imagination.

I did this years ago when I was a 24-year old young preacher. We were trying to obtain the building on our current property that we now call “The Chapel.” When the building went up for sale, nothing in the natural favored us being able to purchase it. We were a young, small church, and we didn’t have enough money. So when it went up for sale, I got a picture of the building and put it on our refrigerator and around the house. I would prayer over that picture, look at that building, meditate on scriptures, and then close my eyes. I did that over and over again until one day, when I closed my eyes, I could vividly see the building—the windows, the colors and vertical shapes of the windows, the steeple, the sides of the building, and so on. Then one day I saw myself opening the door to the building! Uh-huh, look out now! Now, I’m carrying the image around on the inside of me and waiting on the Holy Spirit to show me what to do. Nothing can be restrained from you when you have an image on the inside of you! (Genesis 11:6). To make a long story short, we ended up doing owner financing, we got in the building with a $2,000 a month note, and soon paid that thing off!
