Creflo Dollar: How to choose the Right Mate

Creflo Dollar

How to choose the Right Mate - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

About two years ago, I started a teaching series on relationships. One Sunday during the series, I asked all the single people in our congregation to stand. I was shocked to see that most of the congregation stood up! I thought to myself, Why are so many of them still single? Why aren’t more of these men and women making a connection? These questions prompted me to teach on the subject of choosing a mate.

Enjoy these helpful steps that will help you choose the right “special someone.”

During the dating process is the time to find out all the information you need to make an informed decision. Here are some important questions to ask and get answers to while you are dating.

Is This Person a Christian?

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). I would not advise you to marry someone whose beliefs or moral values go against what you believe as a Christian.

You could be setting yourself up for a lot of strange things, and a yoke of bondage. Choose a Christian mate in order to facilitate true harmony in your relationship (2 Corinthians 6:15 AMP).

A woman once said to me, “Pastor, the Lord told me to marry my boyfriend. So I am getting ready to get married.” I said, “Praise the Lord.” The first question I asked her was, “Is he a Christian?” She said, “Well. . . .” I knew right then something was wrong. He was not a Christian, and yet she was saying the Lord told her to marry him. I asked, “Why would God say to do one thing in His written Word and then tell you to do something else in a spoken word?” I basically told her that she had missed God because apparently her thinking was not lining up with His Word. As I continued to talk to her, I found that she was more concerned about having sex than seeking God’s will; therefore she was willing to compromise her values as a Christian.

Please understand, it is not wise to compromise your values to keep someone. Do not be so desperate that you cannot make a wise decision. Always be willing to walk away if you are put in a position where you have to compromise your Christian beliefs.

What Kind of Christian Is Your Choice?

These days it is not enough to simply ask if someone is a Christian. The Bible says a tree is known by the fruit that it bears. What kind of fruit does this person produce? We as Christians should bear the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23).

Does the Person Have a Commitment to Love and Obey God?

What is this person’s personal history? How does this person acknowledge the Word in his or her personal life? Is he or she a committed Christian?

Are the Two of You Spiritually Compatible?

The Word is spiritual. Therefore, you cannot get an understanding of your spiritual compatibility without first having a good amount of fellowship and communication regarding the Word. Are you compatible where prayer is concerned? Do you both like to pray? Do you pray together? Do you both agree it is important to read the Bible daily and get an understanding of God’s Word? Do you both agree that it is important to meditate on the Word? Do you both agree that it is important to live by the Word?

Do You Agree on the Major Doctrines of the Bible?

It is important to know what the major doctrines of the Bible are so that you can discover if you share the same beliefs. Take time to discuss the doctrines of baptism, the Trinity, righteousness, and faith. These are great topics to discuss on your dates. Resist the urge to get romantic too soon while dating. Instead, engage in lengthy conversations regarding very important issues that will have a positive or negative effect on your relationship. Remember, the brother or sister needs to pass your checklist first!

Be on the lookout for part two of this article. My prayer is that it will empower you for success!

God bless you.

Creflo Dollar: True Prosperity vs. False Prosperity

Creflo Dollar

True Prosperity vs. False Prosperity - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

Author: Creflo Dollar

Some people don’t understand the difference between true prosperity and false prosperity. They believe that in order to be prosperous, a person must have an abundance of money and material goods. While money is a part of the prosperity equation, it is not the whole thing. When we see the word “rich” in the Bible, it refers to wholeness, with nothing missing or broken in your life.

Think of prosperity as a pie with many slices, each one standing for an aspect of God’s promises—healing, money, deliverance, a sound mind, a happy marriage, etc. Satan stole the pieces of the pie when Adam disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, but Jesus came to the earth to restore the prosperity pie. True prosperity is having completeness in every area of your life, from your finances to your relationships with others. It is part of the abundant life that God has designed for every Believer.

False prosperity, on the other hand, is often born out of a need for instant gratification. It is having the appearance of prosperity, without the true substance of it. Society teaches us that it is acceptable to purchase luxury items we can’t afford on credit, buy now and pay later and if it feels good, do it. This mentality promotes reckless spending that while on the outside may cause a person to look prosperous, is really destroying them. Accumulating debt and buying things on credit is not God’s best for your life. He wants you to be a lender and not a borrower because borrowing from others puts you in the position of being the servant of debt. Romans 13:8 says we should owe no man anything but love. When God blesses people with wealth he adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22).

We should want God’s best in every area of our lives, especially our finances. After all, it is His will for our lives. Ecclesiastes 5:19, 20 says “…It is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—that is indeed a gift from God. People who do this rarely look with sorrow on the past, for God has given them reasons for joy” (The New Living Translation). Part of God’s plan for prosperity means enjoying the fruit of your labor and being able to live a financially sound life.

Many times Believers feel God has left them when they don’t experience financial success but God promises to provide for us in every area. He will prosper you in your finances if you release your faith and stand on His Word.

As in any covenant relationship, you have a part in achieving true prosperity. Your job is to walk in love and pursue your Heavenly Father and His Kingdom first, not money or material things (Matthew 6:33). You must also make the Word of God your final authority in life. In doing so, you position yourself for increase.

The Bible says it is impossible to serve God and money. Matthew 6:24 says, “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [deceitful riches, money, possessions, or what is trusted in]” (The Amplified Bible). While money makes an excellent servant, it makes a terrible master.

People serve money when their pursuit of it determines every decision they make. This is called materialism; or having a wrong relationship with material things. When you become consumed with thoughts of constantly having more and acquiring more material wealth so that you can indulge it on yourself, or when you get your security from money and material goods, you are serving money. This is wrong.

True prosperity comes from having a solid relationship with the Lord and trusting Him to meet your every need as well as fulfill the desires He places in your heart. He also wants you to have more than enough to share with others. As you walk in obedience to His Word, He will bless you with these things and more. When you are operating in the overflow in every area of your life, you are operating in true prosperity, and are fulfilling His plan for you to be a blessing to others.

Praise Your Way to a Breakthrough!

Praise Your Way to a Breakthrough! - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

Do you need God to make a way out of no way? The swiftness and surety of your deliverance starts with how you respond to hard times and difficult situations. Hear me when I say that it is not just enough to thank God and honor Him only when you’ve received a blessing. God wants you to show the extent of your faithfulness and trust in Him even in the midst of going through a challenge. The power of your praise will determine the magnitude of your breakthrough.

Praise is not just clapping your hands or applauding God. It is showing respect, honor, and gratefulness using your whole heart, mind, spirit and body despite your circumstances. Paul and Silas didn’t wait until they experienced a breakthrough to praise and thank God. In the midst of difficult circumstances, they praised God and received the breakthrough they desired.

Acts 16:25, 26 (New Living Translation) reveals, “Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!”

Paul and Silas praised God even when their backs were bleeding and their feet and hands were in chains. Despite the pain and suffering they were going through, they praised God anyway; and as a result, God shook the very foundations of the prison, setting them free. God will shake the foundation of your prison; your bondage, your problem…if you make a decision to praise and give Him thanks, no matter what.

Praising God should become second–nature for all Believers. “This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord” (Psalm 102:18). We were created to praise God, and it becomes a natural expression of your love for the Father when you spend time in the Word and meditate on His goodness.

When you have a heart for God and you know He loves you, your confidence in His ability to deliver you soars. You know help is on the way and you eagerly anticipate it. First Thessalonians 5:16–18 encourages, “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus” (NLT). God doesn’t tell you to thank Him for negative circumstances; He says to thank Him while you’re in the midst of them. Doing this shows that you trust Him to bring you out.

The storms of life are going to come; but don’t let them disturb your peace and affect your thoughts and emotions. This will only move you into self–pity and frustration. Instead, maintain an attitude of praise.

Your first line of defense is the Word of God. Meditate on it and give it life by speaking it over your circumstances. If you need healing meditate on scriptures that reveal God’s ability to heal. Receive that Word in your spirit and begin praising God for your healing.

The Word of God declares, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:4–7, NIV).

When you are in a situation and there seems to be no way out, open your mouth and praise the Lord–and don’t stop. Instead of crying and complaining, give God praise because you know He has a plan for you that includes deliverance, restoration and peace. Thank Him for His goodness because your praise will stop the enemy and move the hand of God.

When your deliverance comes, continue to praise Him because He has more in store for you. Thank Him for breakthrough in your home, on your job and with your children. Through your authority in Jesus, place a demand on your breakthrough and watch God show up in your life in ways you would have never imagined.

Creflo Dollar: Your Great Escape

Creflo Dollar

Your Great Escape - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

Author: Creflo Dollar

There is a way out of every negative situation you face in life. There is someone who can help you no matter what you may be going through. There is a means of escaping times of despair, failure and darkness. That way is Jesus Christ! Jesus is your Great Escape from bondage, sickness and financial hardship. He is your means to bypass the snares of the devil and dance your way to victory every time. By trusting Him and His Word in every situation, you will pass each test with flying colors, and move to the next level of success in life.

For those who may question whether Jesus is truly the only way to achieve success and overcome failure in life, look at John 14:6 (The Amplified Bible). It says, “Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.” This scripture reveals a lot about Jesus’ role in your life.

First, Jesus says that He is the Way! You can apply this truth to your life by looking at areas where you need help. If you are facing debt and need deliverance, Jesus is the way! If you need healing in your physical body, He is the way to achieve that healing. If you are believing God for an impossible situation to turn around, He is the great escape from that situation. All you have to do is trust that His Word is true. Believe it in your heart and speak what you believe.

Jesus also describes Himself as being the Truth. John 1:14 says that Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. He is the living Word of God! That means no matter what the facts of your circumstances may be, the Word of God presents the truth about the situation and what God can and will do for you if you have faith in Him. So if your baby needs a new pair of shoes, you have a light bill due, your telephone is disconnected and you don’t have enough money in your bank account, trust the truth that God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory through and by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Jesus is also the Life. He is the power that can resurrect any dead situation in your life. From your finances to your marital relationships, He holds the key to instilling life no matter where it is needed. What is that life? It is the eternal life that resides in Him; the life God infused Him with when He raised Him from the dead. It is the same life that comes inside your spirit when you accept Him into your heart. It is the life that saves you from eternal separation from God and the authority of the kingdom of darkness.

Finally, Jesus is your gateway to the heavenly Father. Without Him, access is denied. That is why it is so important that you receive Him as your Lord and Savior. The Word says when you pray to the Father, in Jesus’ name, your prayers will be answered (John 16:23). Acts 17:28 says it is in Him that we live, move and have our being. Jesus is the bridge to the Father’s love and when you connect with Him, you have access to every blessing promised in His Word.

Don’t allow the voice of the enemy to drown out the truth of God’s Word. Things may look bleak, but rest assured that your hope and trust in Jesus as your great escape guarantees you a way out. Even if you aren’t experiencing challenging times right now, rejoice that when the storms of life come, you have an escape hatch. You can continue to experience victory knowing that Jesus is always your way out. All you have to do is open the Bible and believe what God says.

Creflo Dollar: Elements of True Worship

Elements of True Worship - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

Worship is an essential element of the Christian life and, like praise, is a tool we can use to push the enemy out of the atmosphere. Satan cannot stand to be in the presence of praise, and neither can he stand worship because it brings God’s very presence on the scene. Not only that, but it takes the focus off of all his distractions and points it completely toward the Lord. Understanding the different ways we can worship gives us a spiritual edge that is vital to a successful relationship with God.

Worship should never be something we do haphazardly or without putting focused intention into it. It is essentially when we express our love, adoration, admiration, and respect for God. We tend to think of worship in terms of the “praise and worship” times we have at church, but as Believers, worship is not limited to the songs we sing before a message is preached from the pulpit. Worship is a lifestyle for those who are serious about their relationship with God.

In John 4:23, Jesus says, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” When we worship God in spirit and in truth, it means we are doing it from our hearts, with a motive of love for God. The Lord knows when something is coming from a place of absolute love and honor in our lives, and it is this type of worship that He desires.

Our obedience to God qualifies as worship because it is in obeying Him that we honor Him. Anything He tells us to do in His Word, and whatever He speaks directly to us to do individually, provides an opportunity for us to worship Him. When we give ourselves over to God completely and are willing to move on even the slightest impulse He gives, our lives actually become monuments of worship.

There are several different ways we can worship God, and all of them require our obedience. Incorporating these things in our daily lives positions us to be the true worshipers the Father is looking for.

Reading and studying the Word

The study and meditation of God’s Word may not fit in the traditional concept of worship, but it is a form of reverence and honor for God. When we focus on the Word of God and internalize it during our study times, it puts us in the spirit, which causes us to embrace the thoughts of God. Our times of study should be special times in which we commune with the Lord and worship Him.

Preaching the Word of God

What a way to honor and love on God! When we share the Gospel with people and receive the preached Word of God, we are demonstrating our love for God and our obedience to Him.

Singing spiritual songs

Ephesians 5:18-21 admonishes us to not be drunk with wine, but to be filled with the Spirit of God. It says we are to speak to ourselves in songs, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord in our hearts. This is probably what we consider worship to be, based upon what we experience in church. However, we should incorporate the singing of spiritual songs to the Lord as part of our daily routine. This way, we can keep an atmosphere of worship around us at all times.

Prayer and intercession

Prayer is communication with God, which is also a form of worship. When we intercede for others and stand in the spiritual gap for them, we are also worshiping God through our obedience to Him. We are to always spend time in prayer in order to have a thriving Christian life.

The sacrifice of praise

Anytime we do something out of obedience and reverence for God, even when our flesh doesn’t feel like it, we are worshiping Him. Praise can be a sacrifice because it isn’t something we immediately jump to do when times are hard. However, when we do it from our hearts, giving God our best praise, it absolutely paralyzes the enemy and releases God to get involved with the situation.

Worship can be incorporated in every aspect of our daily lives when we make a conscious decision to do so. It is completely abandoning our wills for the will of God. Becoming a true worshiper will open doors of blessings in our lives and take our relationship with Him to another level.

Think Right; Speak Right - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

Author: Creflo Dollar

Have you noticed people seem to get irritated when you speak positive words about your life? I have. People look at me funny at times; but I choose not to focus on that. I’m working on something!

When others get aggravated by your faith talk, chances are they don’t think the same, or wouldn’t dare speak that way. I always say, no Word, no faith. As a matter of fact, negative thinking and speaking seems to be the norm according to the world. To nonbelievers, thinking and speaking faith seems abnormal.

Across the spectrum people have different ways of thinking. Some people may hear you say, I’m so blessed and God always gives me victory!, and not understand why you’re speaking faith—filled words. Honestly, I can understand why someone might have a hard time comprehending how a person can literally change their lives with their words. However, if you continue speaking faith—filled words, they’ll understand, especially once they see the results in your life.

Change starts with your thinking and speaking. These are fundamental steps that will ultimately change your life. For example, if you’re going through a financial challenge, find a scripture to meditate on and speak it to build your faith. You can say, Lord I thank you that you always cause me to triumph in Christ. I thank you Father that I already have the victory in this situation. Wealth and riches are continually in my house!

When I was a therapist working in a clinic helping people, I also used to think negatively. I became so depressed that one day I found myself sitting in my garage trying to figure out how to commit suicide and still go to Heaven! That’s when I realized I had to change my negative mindset. I started reading and studying the Word, and over a period of time, my mind was made new. Since then, I’ve come a long way as a result of right thinking!

Oral Roberts said he uses his faith like a carpenter uses his tools, and I thought, how do you do that? This is how! You take a scripture from the Bible, for instance 3 John 1:2, and think about it over and over. Say it out loud: I will prosper as my soul prospers. Think about the meaning and significance of it. This type of meditation produces the right kind of thinking. Use the scripture in your everyday speech, then you’ll notice your faith building. It releases your faith into the spiritual realm. When unwavering faith enters the spiritual atmosphere, God is pleased and Heaven stands at attention. The angels are ready to carry out the orders you’ve spoken according to God’s Word. Before you know it, the scripture you’re saying will be evident in your life.

It doesn’t matter what people think or say about you. You’re working on something! And one day, they may begin to follow your example, because they’ll begin to notice that you always have what you say!

Building the Foundation of Prayer

Creflo Dollar

Building the Foundation of Prayer - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

I am a firm believer the reason many Christians do not experience victory is because they lack an important foundational key to success—prayer. Contrary to common religious beliefs, prayer is not pleading with God or bargaining with Him to act on your behalf. Neither is it characterized by a lot of “spiritual” sounding clichés that do not line up with the Word. Prayer is simply communicating with God by speaking His Word to Him in faith. When you pray this way, results are inevitable. Hebrews 4:12 clearly describes the power of the Word. It says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Verse 14 encourages Believers to “hold fast to our profession.” In other words, do not stop speaking God’s Word, because it is power—packed! When you pray the Word, believing you have already received what you are praying for, God has no choice but to answer your prayers. He honors His Word, not your emotions.

Prayer should produce rest, and peace of mind. Many people pray fear—based prayers and hope they are getting through to God, but they really do not have confidence in what they are praying. The Bible says when you believe the Word, you will enter into a state of rest.

The integrity of the Word speaks for itself and will never fail. By allowing the Word to be the foundation of your prayer life, your confidence in your prayers will soar to new heights. When you know in your “knower” that Scripture is infallible, you will have no doubt what God says is true and you already possess it. Begin to pray the solution to your problems first, rather than bombard Heaven with desperate pleas.

Every failure in life is a prayer failure. That means either you did not know how to effectively pray, or you simply have not placed prayer high enough on your list of priorities. God has already done everything He is going to do; the work has already been completed. Your job is to pray faith—filled prayers based on His Word and expect to receive results. Make no mistake about it, prayer is absolutely essential to your walking in the manifestation of God’s promises. It is fundamental to getting results as a Christian.

As you spend time with God in prayer, you will begin to recognize His voice more clearly. He hears your prayers and desires to direct you at every turn. A developed prayer life will make it easier for Him to guide you.

When you make the Word of God the foundation of your prayer life, you are guaranteed victory. Do not let religion or tradition blind you to the truth of what prayer really is. Your future depends on it!

Creflo Dollar: Pray By the Rules

Creflo Dollar

Pray By the Rules - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

by: Creflo Dollar

Prayer is probably one of the most misunderstood and potentially frustrating topics because many people do not know how to get results when they pray. The simplicity of prayer has been lost in many people’s lives and turned into a religious tradition that has a form but no real power. Prayer is not meant to be a burden or to be used as a badge of holiness. Instead, it is a gift from God that, when used properly, should yield great victory in our lives.

In many cases, the missing element in prayer is confidence. But why do people lack confidence in prayer? Because they do not know the will of God concerning their prayer request. God’s will is simply another way of describing what God wants to have happen. It is what He desires for our lives as outlined in His Word. If we do not know God’s will for our lives, we will tolerate the life we have when it could be so much better.

There are only two places to go to discover what God wants for our lives—the Bible and His presence. When we pray, our prayers must line up with His Word. The only prayer that God will hear and answer is a prayer that is based on what He has said in His Word. If we pray according to the Word of God, then we are praying the will of God. We can only have confidence in our prayers when we know that what we’re praying for is something that God desires to bring to pass.

People often get confused and frustrated because they do not know what God has already said in His Word. How can someone pray for healing when they do not know God wants them to be healed? How can we believe God for an increase in our finances if we do not know God wants us to prosper? The truth is—we cannot. When we do not know what God has said about our situation, our prayers will be fear-based and they will not get results.

The beauty of prayer is its simplicity. Prayer is simply saying to God what He has already said in His Word. This protects us from getting off into areas that are not the will of God. Moreover, the Bible covers every problem that you will ever have. We can read it and find out what God’s Word has to say about our bills, our marriage and our children? When we do, our prayers will be effective.

Many people cancel out their prayers, once they have prayed according to the Word, because they look to their circumstances to see if anything has happened right away. However, just because the problem or situation hasn’t immediately changed, it should not hinder our confidence that God has heard and answered the prayer we prayed according to His Word.

Finally, the most powerful prayer comes from the heart of a person who knows that God loves him or her enough to answer the request they have made. It is ridiculous to think prayer will yield results if we do not believe the God we are praying to, first of all, loves us. Even in the natural, a child who doubts his or her parents’ love will be hesitant to ask for or expect things from them.

God loves you and gave you His Word so that you can have great results in your prayer life. Pray with confidence in the Word, knowing God loves you and will answer your prayers.

Creflo Dollar: Victory over Sin through Grace

Creflo Dollar

Victory over Sin through Grace - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

Author: Creflo Dollar

The most amazing thing about becoming born again is that something miraculous happens to our spirits. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and personal Savior, we literally receive a new spiritual nature. God takes away our sin nature that once controlled us and places His nature on the inside of us. As a result, sin can no longer control us like it did when we were unsaved because His spirit now lives inside of us. This phenomenon is only possible through God’s grace. It is through that grace that we are empowered to overcome sin. We must, however, cooperate with His grace by obeying His Word, otherwise we cause ourselves to remain in bondage to sin when we have been set free from it. When we understand the grace of God, we are empowered to be winners in life.

Keep in mind that grace is not a cover up for sin. Grace actually helps us overcome sin when we resist it. God will never require something of us without giving us the tools to carry it out. Titus 2:11, 12, in The Amplified Bible, says: “For the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind. It has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world.” God wants us to live godly lives in the midst of an ungodly world, and He has equipped us to do so.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is a true manifestation of God’s love for us. He predestinated us to have His inward nature and character (Romans 8:29, AMP). Before we were even born, God had already decided to allow us to partake of His divine nature. Therefore, sin’s dominion over us has ultimately been destroyed. Through the empowerment of His grace, sin has lost its power forever. As free moral agents, we can decide whether we will allow sin (or our old sin nature and its tendencies) to govern our lives.

Remember that before we were born again we actually possessed the nature of Satan, and it wasn’t because of something we did or didn’t do. Just by virtue of being born into this earth, we were born into sin because of Adam’s disobedience thousands of years ago. As sinners, our lives were governed by sin because it was in our nature. As a result, we led sinful lifestyles, without any conviction or sense of wrongdoing. However, once we accepted Christ, our spirits were recreated and infused with the life of God.

Getting saved does not mean that we no longer have a part to play in experiencing the benefits of salvation in our everyday lives. Our souls (the mind, will, and emotions) did not get born again at the point of receiving Jesus into our hearts. We must make a decision to renew our minds on a daily basis so that our behavior begins to line up with our new nature (Romans 12:1, 2). This is the only way we can begin to actually live the way God intends for us to live. When we renew our minds, we enable the grace of God to do its work in our lives.

Many Christians are being held captive by their own ignorance. They suffer defeats in life because they do not truly know God and the power of His grace to set them free from sinful behavior. These Believers don’t realize that they have a choice in the matter, and they don’t have to sin! They can be free of the bondage that comes from sin, rather than remain in it. With the knowledge of God’s grace, we can resist the urge to sin and overcome every temptation. As a result, God’s grace supports and empowers our decision to turn away from the things that once held us captive. This helps us to remain free, even when we are tempted to do wrong.

The Word of God works like a seed, because a seed contains within it the nature of its parent. Likewise, the Word of God contains within it the power of God. When we plant the seed of God’s Word in our hearts by reading, meditating, and acting on it, we position ourselves to receive the benefits of God’s grace, and release the empowerment necessary to have complete and total victory over sin, every day of our lives.

Regain Your Losses: God’s Recovery Plan - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministries

A question on the minds of many people is: When will the present economy turn around? Many also wonder whether we are anywhere near normal economic activity. God only knows for certain.

However, all of us are aware of the results of the economic downturn, such as families affected by foreclosure. People have lost cars. Children have been displaced from schools due to parents having to relocate. Millions have suffered job losses. Due to financial disaster, too many can identify with Psalm 142:4 (AMP), which says, “Look on the right hand [the point of attack] and see; for there is no man who knows me [to appear for me]. Refuge has failed me and I have no way to flee; no man cares for my life or my welfare.”

No, the answer is not in one man, human that is, but thanks be to God that the world has available to it a Savior, one who sits high but looks low. The Bible says about Jesus in Hebrews 4:15 (MSG) that, “He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.” And help He does offer. I call it God’s recovery plan.

First of all, to approach God for any kind of help, one must recognize that He truly exists and is a rewarder of those who sincerely seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). And how can we seek Him? We do this through prayer and by declaring His Word, reminding God of what He’s already said.

God honors His Word, and in it, He promises us that a payday is on the way. Jeremiah 51:56 describes Him as the God of recompense, a rewarder—the Great Compensator. Now this can be good or bad, depending upon how you are living. Every action, whether positive or negative, will be rewarded.

Speaking of good and bad, Proverbs 12:14 tells us it is all in the power of the tongue. We must not allow our mouths to put us in, or keep us in, poverty by speaking negative words. Say only what you would like to manifest in your life. If you don’t want it to happen, then don’t say it—not even jokingly.

Another requirement for receiving an economic turnaround from God is to live uprightly before Him. This means, whether you are at home, at the mall, or wherever you are—at all times—your lifestyle should agree with His Word.

In order to receive financial reward from God, there must be financial seed sown. Plain and simple. You want a harvest of corn? What do you plant? Corn seed. You desire, or better yet, need money? What do you plant or sow or give? Money seed! Ask of the Lord, and He will direct you concerning giving.

God will guide you in all your decision making, if you ask Him. We have the example of Moses. He was destined to rule Egypt. However, after consulting with God, Moses decided to follow the Lord instead. As a result, God richly compensated Moses for his choice.

It is possible to live in this world and not experience the consequences of it. Some have suffered harshly from making poor choices, only to have the recession amplify the bad results. However, God loves you. He is willing to repay your losses with abundance and ensure that whatever the enemy has stolen be repaid in full. Your part is to call upon His name, pray, and apply faith pressure through His Word, all of which will move the hand of God on your behalf!
